This is my first blog post! In this post, I will explain the story behind what I do and why, as well as what future posts will be about.

Background

I have always been a very creative person. Right from when I first started school, I have always loved making up stories based on my real-life experiences. When I would write these stories, I would use my friends and family as characters, or sometimes use characters from other media that I enjoy. When I first went to college, I studied audio production. Through this program, I learned how to write my own songs, record and edit dialogue, and even make my own sound effects for productions from scratch. For my final project in the program, I had to create a :capstone”, which combined everything that I had learned throughout my time in the program. This project was the biggest independent work I had done up to that point, and so I decided to turn one of my stories into a radio show style podcast, complete with my own original songs. This received a lot of positive reactions from friends and family. That summer, I decided to take it one step further and create my own original characters and settings in addition to original stories and songs. This was the start of what would become my first series – Tales and Tunes with Ryan. I liked it so much, that I wanted to start learning animation so I would have a visual element to my stories too. I took a few animation courses at my college, but the majority of the process I am learning on my own. My animated shorts that I currently post are not only intended to introduce my characters, but also showcase my learning process with animation. In the near future, I plan to post full-length episodes with more in-depth stories. These stories intend to entertain kids and make people happy, as well as teach important moral values and life lessons. It will also showcase how I use my talents in audio, music, and animation to creatively tell my stories.

What to expect from now on

I intend to post updates to my work on this blog, and occasionally some sneak peaks. I will also keep everyone updated on what to look forward to in the future. I am really looking forward to telling wholesome, creative, and captivating stories through my animated series! I am currently working on my next animated short. I look forward to sharing more about that in the very near future!
